World of Asphalt and the AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo takes center stage in Nashville March 25-27, 2024. Asphalt and aggregates professionals should make their plans now to make the most of their trip to the Music City.
What to do
When attendees aren’t exploring the 400+ exhibitors or soaking up the educational sessions, the Music City offers plenty of ample entertainment. Extend your trip around the expo by taking in weekend activities. Here’s a few ideas for asphalt and aggregates professionals:
Grand Ole Opry
Nothing says “Nashville” like the Grand Ole Opry. Starting as a simple radio broadcast in 1925, it now highlights a mix of country music greats, new stars, and legends. On Sunday, March 24th, before World of Asphalt & AGG1, The Grand Kyiv Ballet performs Giselle. Throughout the expo, stars like Lauren Alaina, Charles Esten and Shane Smith & the Saints will grace the stage. For an updated schedule and ticket information, visit the Grand Ole Opry website.
Country Music Hall Of Fame & Museum
The Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, located across the street from World of Asphalt & AGG1 at the Music City Center, immerses visitors in the history of country music. It boasts the world’s largest collection of the genre’s artifacts. Purchasing tickets ahead of time is greatly encouraged, as the museum uses a timed ticketing system.
Honky Tonk Highway
The famous Honky Tonk Highway, found in striking distance to World of Asphalt & AGG1, displays the mesmerizing neon lights of Broadway. Countless bars and restaurants serve up live music, food, and drinks. The good news: the Honky Tonk Highway says there’s never a cover charge at its locations.
From Nashville Hot to barbecue, to meat and three
According to Nashville’s visitor bureau, nearly 200 new restaurants opened in the last two years. If you’ve visited the city before you’re bound to find something new. Whether you’re seeking some spicy Nashville Hot chicken, low-and-slow Tennessee barbecue, or the classic meat and three – Nashville’s food scene offers unique options.
Nashville Predators
During World of Asphalt & AGG1, hockey fans can catch Nashville’s hometown team. The Predators play at home on Tuesday, March 26. For schedule and ticket information, visit the team’s website.
