Webinars are great tools that can facilitate the transfer of knowledge without the expense of travel, lodging and precious time otherwise needed to travel to subject specific training or conferences.

Below are a collection of upcoming and pre-recorded webinars that may be of interest to our readers. These webinars cover a wide range of topics that provide information that can be utilized to promote best practices and the integration of new technology to allow us to continue to ensure asphalt is recognized as the construction material of choice.

#1 The American Society of Civil Engineers

Waste and By-Product Use in Road Construction
Available live on August 2nd, 2016 from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. E.S.T. Recorded copies of the webinar will be made available for purchase 5-8 weeks after the webinar airs. This webinar provides the history and current use of waste and by-product use in the construction of pavements. A large range of products are discussed including wastes shingles, engine oil and ground rubber for pavement surface materials. Advantages and disadvantages of the use of each product will be discussed as well as guidance for successful use.

Development and Implementation of Reflective Cracking Model in the Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide.
This webinar will be held live on August 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. E.S.T. Replays of the webinar will be available on-demand approximately two days after the initial webcast. Participants will gain exposure the theories and assumptions underlying the reflective cracking model.
